CDF - TABLES ET TABURETS MESTIERI

After a visit in workshops where marble is worked and transformed, just near the marble quarry in Carrara, Stefania is amazed by the intelligence of sculptors easels, built to support big and heavy marble blocks.
Inspired by these ingenious structures, Stefania designs a series of stools and tables which juxtapose two materials : wood and marble.
In these objects, marble becomes itself a part of the construction ; it finishes geometrically the ingenious and strong wood manufacturing.
Bianco Carrara, Calacatta, Nero Portoro, Onice, Arabescato : a series of stools and tables with a changing marble base. Each stool and table is a single piece, a geometry of marble, a cutout of alive stone.
